We are a service-area contractor: the crew, the ladder and the free inspection come to your house, wherever on Long Island that house is. What follows is the honest map of where we work, and what the island itself does to a roof or a wall of siding depending on which part of it you live in.
These eight areas come up most often in our own scheduling, so each one gets a page that speaks to that specific stretch of the island rather than a generic rewrite of this one.

A roof and a wall of siding age differently depending on where the house sits, and a quote that ignores that is guessing.
Closer to the ocean and the bays, fasteners, flashing and any exposed metal take more of a beating from salt in the air, and there is less tree cover to break up sustained wind off the water. Perimeter detailing, correct fastening pattern and material choice matter more out here than they do further inland.
The North Shore carries a lot of older housing stock, often with steeper rooflines and mature trees overhead. Steeper pitches change the labor and staging on a roof replacement, and heavy tree cover means more debris load on the roof and gutters, and less sun to dry the deck out after a storm.
Central Long Island is largely postwar development, ranches and capes built close together on smaller lots. Access is usually straightforward, which helps on staging and dumpster placement, but these homes are also getting old enough that original windows and first-generation siding are reaching end of life at the same time as the roof.
Whichever part of the island you are on, the same coastal reality applies underneath it: nor'easters, freeze and thaw cycling through the winter, and August attic heat. Our roof replacement page goes through what that means layer by layer.
Suffolk County does not issue roofing permits. Each town has its own building department, and a full roof replacement typically needs a permit from that specific town, not the county. Filing it is part of the job, it shows up as a line in your written scope, and you are not left to track down the paperwork yourself. Nassau County towns work the same way, each with its own department. Details are on our Suffolk County roofing permits page.
The service area is wide, but the job we do on it is not split up. Roof, siding, windows, doors and gutters run as one coordinated project with one written scope and one crew standard, whether the house is in Wading River or Rockville Centre. If the roof is due, the siding is usually not far behind it, and running them together while staging is already up is worth asking about.
We do not add a separate travel fee. Distance can factor into scheduling since the East End sits further from where most of our crews start the day, but it does not change how the job is priced or scoped.
